“My husband and I were overweight and lived our life with no concern of the toll it was taking on our bodies. Last year I told him I wanted to be a “runner”, I started that day barely walking a half mile and being completely out of breathe. I pressed on and gradually increased my distance and started using the couch to 5k app. My husband started joining me on walks and we signed up for our first 5k (pictured on the left) determined just to finish 😄 we accomplished that first 5k in just under 53 minutes a year ago.
We continued on with our new found love of walking and began jogging/running. In this past year we have now ran in several 5ks and a 10k together with every step. Yesterday we ran in another 5k (pictured on right) and this one was finished in 35:35 hand in hand 😄
We found a love for running and our health with 90lbs lost each and a renewed love for our new life together 😄
