Marathoner Deede

“Hi. My name is Deede and I have a very interesting job. I help people get healthy, I encourage people to change their life and am working on becoming a better version of myself daily.

I do this thing called Plexus which I was skeptical about for a long time. I used to roll my eyes at my friends posts. ๐Ÿ™ˆ

What happened? One day I realized how miserable and unhealthy I was, so I decided to see what it was all about – and now I am training for a marathon and helping support my family. ๐Ÿ™Š

My job is to show the world you can do something big, be laughed at while you’re doing it, and still accomplish great things.๐Ÿ™‰

I feel incredibly underestimated at times, like people don’t take me seriously because of my size and because of my fun personality, among many other reasons! ๐Ÿ˜‚

You know what? Thatโ€™s totally OK, because it takes away any expectations – except for the ones I place on myself.
Besides, one day you might see me and say, “Wow, she really did it.” And I’ll say “Yes I did. It was fun, it was hard, and you can do it too!” โค

I hammered out my first 20 miler yesterday. It was pretty intense – but I did the damn thing and I am on top of the world!!!

Just this time last year I was working on getting my first mile off the treadmill, and here we are…๐Ÿ‘Š

I’ve seen many people who’ve been running longer than myself show concern and worry about going for a full marathon. ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Let me just say, if you want it bad enough and are willing to work for it, you can have it!!!

๐Ÿ‘‰I was nervous about signing up for my first marathon, and that was in October!!!

Here we are a few months later and killing it!!!

Keep pushing, keep going, don’t stop, it’s okay to slow down to rest, but when the time comes, take a deep breath, exhale the pain and KEEP GOING!!!!” ๐Ÿ‘ˆ
