There’s a purpose to our passion of running

“I encounter many interesting things when I run, but nothing like this one. My heart is heavy…I went for a run this afternoon and came upon my elderly neighbor with Alzheimer’s wandering in the street all dazed and confused. He said he was tired and didn’t know where he lived. I knew where he lived so I walked him safely back to his home. His wife wasn’t home, so I stayed with him until she arrived about 15 minutes later. I usually run in the morning, but thanks be to God that I went on a run on a hot afternoon in Chicago. Be patient, be kind, be compassionate and respectful to the elderly…they are the greatest generation. Stay Calm and Keep Running…there’s a purpose to our passion!”
