“I had to share this with you guys because I know you will appreciate the work that’s gone into it! I started running with the C25K program back in August. It took me five months to complete a nine week program. So far I have lost 34 pounds and about 18 inches. My first 5K as a runner is next Saturday. It is the colon cancer awareness 5K and I am running it in memory of my mother who passed from colon cancer. I have been doing all of my running on the treadmill and this morning I went to a local park and did the entire 3.1 miles. It took me 58 minutes to complete but complete it I did. I now have the one thing that I’ve been missing…confidence. I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished and I cannot wait until next weekend. Thank you all for your daily posts your words of encouragement and all of your weight loss and fitness stories. It truly does help! ”
